Villa Bottacchi, Stintino, near Alghero, Sardinia
Villa Bottacchi is located just outside the charming village of Stintino, in the northwest tip of the island. The location is convenient for its proximity to beautiful sandy beaches and for its proximity to Alghero airport, just 35 minutes drive away. The 9-hole Country Village golf course where you can rent golf clubs and other equipment is stones throw away.
There is a variety of unusual wildlife in this corner of Sardinia, including pink flamingos. Rare wildlife can also be found on the near by beautiful conservation isle of Asinara, which is well worth a visit.
Stintino itself is a delightful village with two small ports and a good choice of restaurants and bars. The renowned La Pelosa beach, famed for its white sands and clear turquoise waters, is another of Stintinos many attractive features. Even closer to the villa (approx. 2 km) is the Le Saline beach. One restaurant and bar are within walking distance.
Villa Bottacchi has its own private pool which measures 8 m by 4 m and is 1.5 m deep. The villa has two bathrooms, one double bedroom and a twin bedroom which can be converted into a double bedroom on request. Along with the garden, terrace and living room, the villa comes with a fully equipped kitchen, including oven dishwasher and washing machine. We recommend this villa for a small family or for two couples.
There are many good restaurants in Stintino and we would recommend an excursion to the nearby Asinara island which is now protected national park land.
