Villa Diana is a new one to our collection and is sure to prove a favourite. It is located in the Northwest corner of the Island on the outskirts of the charming village of Stintino.
Villa Diana enjoys views of the sea and the Cesaraccio Saltpan, where you may be lucky enough to spot some of Sardinia's famous pink flamingos. The Le Saline beach in conservation area is roughly 2 km away The beautiful La Pelosa beach, famed for its beautiful white sands and clear turquoise seas is just 4km away.
The villa is enclosed and surrounded by garden where beautiful bougainvillaea and geraniums peep out from amongst the lush greenery. It has been built to respect the surrounding nature. Villa Diana boasts a wonderful private pool with sun-beds around it and a canopy swing. A few steps lead up to the small solarium with lovely views. There are various terraces and patio areas.
The villa's interior decor is elegant and of a high standard - its interiors have even been displayed in a style and design magazine in Italy. There are beautiful wooden beamed ceilings throughout the villa. It has a large open plan living room with lovely fireplace and dining area. It leads out onto a charming shaded arched terrace furnished to dine al fresco. The kitchen is very well equipped with dishwasher, gas oven and hob, washing machine and large fridge with separate freezer. There is a small breakfast bar with three high stools.
There is one double bedroom, two twin bedrooms and a one room with bunkbed. Two of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, one with shower and one with bathtub. There is also a third bathroom.
One restaurant is about 10-15 mins walk away. There are shuttle buses that leave regularly from the bus stop near the villa and will take you to Stintino where there are many good restaurants as well as to the nearby beaches. It is also worth a day trip to the nearby beautiful Asinara Island.
This villa is also child-friendly and although very young children may need supervision, the villa is enclosed all around and inside the only stairs are four wide walled steps that lead up to the bedrooms. There is also a residence nearby (10-15 minutes walk) where there is a large pool with shallow end for children, a children's play area, a small supermarket and a bar. Cots can be provided at the villa if necessary.
