Villa Le Palme, Stintino, near Alghero, Sardinia

This exclusive Sardinian villa is situated on the outskirts of the “Country Club Residence” a private residence scattered with villas overlooking the sea from the distance. The Country Club is 5 km from Stintino and 45 km from Alghero airport. This beautiful Sardinian villa is built in a tranquil and privileged position overlooking on one side wild countryside covered with “macchia”. This villa is situated in one of Sardinia's most authentic areas, renowned for the wild beauty of its beaches. These have shallow, transparent, emerald green waters. They are perfect for children's play. On one beach there is a scuba diving centre. This is a Padi centre with English speaking, friendly scuba diving and surfing instructors. Here one can also rent surfing equipment or book in for scuba diving or surfing lessons. Sailing excursions to Asinara are also available.
Famous also is the nearby conservation isle of Asinara, the island just off the coast of Stintino, a small Sardinian fishing village situated on the North West coast of Sardinia. The shores and the interior of this small Sardinian island are highly protected, as it has been declared National Parkland. One of Stintino's attractions is also the delightful restaurant, which offer very genuine delicious Sardinian specialities. These are often situated just by the sea or have ample sea views. The village is small and retains its traditional charm. It is peaceful and very picturesque. A wonderful promenade leads from the charming old port to the small modern marina. A few old squares with open-air cafeterias complete the very Sardinian atmosphere.
Villa Le Palme is a very beautiful two-storey independent villa with a great deal of privacy set in a garden with fragrant Mediterranean plants and small palms.
The enclosed garden surrounding the private pool with views of the tranquil countryside and the sea will be a favourite spot for children to play or for relaxing enjoying the wild beauty of the landscapes of this beautiful corner of Sardinia and the charm of this unique Mediterranean island. The shady,large terrace overlooks the garden and has ample view of the sea. It is furnished with sun loungers and a large table to dine “outdoors” for cool “al fresco” dinners.
The villa has airy rooms featuring wooden beamed ceilings and terracotta floors. On the ground floor there is a spacious living/dining room opening onto the beautiful terrace. There is a total of 2 double bedrooms of which one leads onto a balcony with sea views and the roof terrace. There is also a twin bedroom and a bedroom with 3 single beds. The twin bedroom can be turned into a double bedroom. There are 2 bathrooms of which one with bathtub. The pastel coloured kitchen is fully equipped with large refrigerator, oven, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. Here there is also a small breakfast table. The villa is also equipped with TV/DVD Video player.
Villa Le Palme is child-friendly (although small children will need supervision around the pool and in the garden) and it can be equipped on request with a cot and high chair.

A supermarket, a few small shops, a bar, a restaurant and a child's play area are about 10-15 minutes walk away. The nearest beach, Le Saline, which has small pebbles, is less than 3 km away. There is also a picturesque sandy cove also less than 3 km away. On the other side of the resort, a walk away there are incredibly picturesque landscapes with wild country side sloping down to the sea and the rocks. The most adventurous can reach the small cove by walking alongside the cliff on a narrow path.
The famous la Pelosa beach, one of Sardinia's most beautiful beaches with turquoise water and white fine sand is 5 km away. This is especially attractive in the spring when small pink and yellow flower cover the sand and reach the sea.
The charming historic town of Alghero with picturesque cobbled streets and the wonderful promenade alongside the sea and the medieval walls (Bastioni Marco Polo) is less that 45 km away. The old town of Alghero offers a multitude of excellent small restaurant located on beautiful squares “piazza” serving delicious fish dishes and Sardinian wine.
