Villa Mary, Stintino, near Alghero, Sardinia

This independent villa has a lovely garden, which comes complete with outdoor furniture, private pool, outdoor shower and views of the gulf of Asinara and the Cesaraccio salt pan. The villa has its own parking spot. The pool is 8m × 4m and is 1.5m deep.
Inside, through the entrance porch is the open plan living/dining room which contains a wooden table for 6, 2 cornflower yellow sofas, a coffee table and a chest with a TV. The separate kitchen has a washing machine, a hob and a fridge freezer.
Three wide steps, protected by a rail, lead down to the two double bedrooms. The master bedroom has a wrought iron bed, a large wardrobe and French sliding doors leading out to a small covered patio and the garden. There is also a twin bedroom which could be made into a double bedroom if need be. There is also a bathroom with bathtub and shower head.
A unique feature of the house is another room that overlooks the living room. 10 steps, protected by a rail on one side and a wall on the other leads up to another room that is separated by a curtain. The room has a single bed in it so it could be used as a bedroom, second living room or reading room.
The villa is located in the Country Village just outside the charming fishing village of Stintino. The nearest beach, Le Saline, is 2 km away and the Cesaraccio salt pan where flamingos sometimes nest is also nearby. Many beaches are just a short drive away, including the renowned La Pelosa beach, famed for its white sands and turquoise waters as well as its old Aragonese tower. Scuba diving and water sports are also possible. The nearby beautiful and unspoilt Asinara Island, which has been declared National Parkland, is well worth a visit.
There is also a residence nearby (10-15 minutes walk) where there is a large pool with shallow end for children, a children's play area, a small supermarket and a bar. Cots can be provided at the villa if necessary. One restaurant is about 10-15 minutes walk away. There are shuttle buses that leave regularly from the bus stop near the villa and will take you to Stintino where there are many good restaurants as well as to the nearby beaches. There is also a nine-hole golf course in the immediate vicinity.
