Villa Stella Marina is situated alongside the beach near the village of Calasetta in Sant'Antiaco (easy to reach from Cagliari airport within one hour or so). This are of Sardinia being amongst the most picturesque, with a coastline bordering tall cane fields swayed by the warm breeze, ever present along these shores, which are the furtherest South with Africa in the distance. Very mild springs give way to hot summers, this adds to the all year long attraction of this location.
The 2 villages on this island (united to main island Sardinia by a narrow bridge) Sant'Antiaco and Calasetta are still unspoilt and very authentic with narrow lanes and white walls against the ever present blue of the Southern sky.
The villa is a long walk to the village of Calasetta.
It is situated slightly above the sea below the garden, reaching down to touch the rocks and the sea. A white sandy beach is to the left of the villa, only a short walk away, also a restaurant. From the garden the landscapes are simply lovely. One long winding white beach after another. One or two villas within gardens with palms. The old tuna factory not far away. A tall palm against the horizon, like in the desert. A small hotel further away, maybe 5 km from the villa.
A place of rare peace and tranquillity. A place to linger and stay whilst the sunny summer days and hot nights go by. We recommend this place for couples but also families – taking care that young children and toddlers are always supervised.
About the villa
The villa is well maintained and modern set within private gated garden with views far and wide, the sea on your doorstep, ocean views from nearly every angle. Inside there is a master bedroom with large cupboards, and sea views. A small twin bedroom. A spacious bathroom with shower. The kitchen and the living rooms are open plan – the kitchen is fully equipped to a high standard with oven, microwave, dishwasher and large fridge freezer, and washing machine. There is an outdoor barbeque area to make the most of the warm weather.
An ample private swimming pool to sit in awe, and take it all in from. Your own personal piece of paradise. Alongside the pool a tall palm sways in the light breeze – The large shady terrace creates a cool relaxing spot to dine al fresco and relax during the long afternoons.
The villa is air conditioned.
