This world-renowned 18-hole golf course, owned by Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide Inc, stretches from the gulf of Pevero to the bay of Cala di Volpe. Its intriguing layout and exclusive setting make for an exciting, enjoyable game for players of all levels. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, this 18-hole, par-72 course features exceptionally long tees for a stimulating challenge. It is 6107 metres long, stretching over a surface of 3.8 miles and its main obstacles include 70 bunkers and several lakes with rocks and vegetation (ladies' handicap 34; mens' 28). Its course and greens are considered amongst the best maintained in Europe.
The prestigious clubhouse is a favourite meeting place for players and guests complete with a fully equipped pro shop and plush locker rooms. Its famous balconies offer views of the bay as well as of the first and last holes of the course. There is also an excellent restaurant, La Terrazza, serving refined international gourmet cuisine, with a beautiful terrace overlooking the swimming pool and offering spectacular views of the course. The elegant bar has impeccable service and is perfect for drinks before or after a game.
In addition, the Costa Smeralda Golf Academy features the latest computer graphics technology and the attention of PGA professionals, as well as first-class services, electric carts and rental clubs for those who want to learn from the best and continue to improve their game.
