The quaint village boasts some small exquisite restaurants and bars some directly by the sea, others with breathtaking views. The area forms a peninsula, which to one side has white beaches and on the other cliffs of dark slate that skirting the sea create flat rocks, natural platforms to sunbathe. From Stintino one can access with ease the historic town of Alghero renowned for its picturesque old town, unique in Sardinia. The ancient citadel boasts medieval walls built alongside the sea and narrow streets of cobblestones and old sober Romanic churches built of sand stones and marble.
